Colby Jackson
Colby Jackson has been working in a variety of mediums while working and studying art at Palomar College in San Marcos CA.

Colby's creations are deeply rooted in his interest in space and otherworldly possibilities. Hand, chains, and charming faces and creatures are images he returns to often.

I met Colby when I was 16 and taking classes at Palomar while I was still in High school. I have remained close with him throughout the years amassing an substantial collection of his work in all mediums and scales. in total I believe i have upwards of 400 artworks by Colby.
​
In 2019 I curated an exhibition of his work celebrating 25 years making work in North county San Diego. Thi exhibition titled Colby Jackson and Friends drew from the collections of his most committed patrons. It was during this exhibition that I felt he deserved a document recording his work for postarity.

Catalogue Raisonné
A catalogue resoné is a document that assemble the collected works of a single artsit in an effort to describe their career over a significant period of time. Given that Colby has been making work and showing work fro teh past 30 years, I feel like it is a worthy gesture that Yardstick press celebrates artost in our region and Colby is a prime first Artst to help tell their story.

Throughout 2025 we are workng with Colby to bring archival iamges of him and his work over teh years to publish a Vol. 1 of his raisońe by the end of 2025 to earky 2026.
